Description
I would like to report an unauthorized U-Haul rental operation being conducted from a business property located at 3154 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain, MA. There are multiple indications that the property may be operating as a vehicle rental location, including the presence of four U-Haul key lock boxes mounted on the front door (see photo). Additionally, U-Haul vehicles are regularly parked on the public street for extended periods of time. Observed U-Haul equipment includes: U-Haul Van – Arizona Plate AM96960 U-Haul Truck – Arizona Plate AH58321 The commercial use of this residential property is creating parking, traffic, and neighborhood quality-of-life concerns. I respectfully request that the appropriate City department investigate: Whether the property is authorized and properly licensed to operate a vehicle rental business; Whether the use complies with Boston zoning regulations; Whether the vehicles are being stored, parked, and operated in compliance with local parking and business regulations; and Whether any permits are required for this activity.
