Description
East Boston Memorial Park, from Porter and Orleans Street, down Thompson Drive (the roadway in East Boston Memorial Park), to the East Boston Memorial Stadium. How can cars continue to be parked there for 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, or 5 days (the Chevrolet Traverse, pictured (has been parked in East Boston Memorial Park for 5 days, 5 days, in an area signed 2 Hour Parking) and NOT ONE TICKET). How could that be? The same cars, driven by airport employees, Blue Line commuters, Uber drivers, Embassy Suites guests, and local residents and visitors, are parked in the park, every day, and night. How can the Boston Transportation Department, and BPD A-7 explain this? BPD has a car sitting in the park, now, when the regular parkers, who park in the park, every day, for 8, 12, 24 hours, far exceeding the signed 2 Hour Parking, park their cars in the park. It’s no wonder there are no parking spaces for people who legitimately use the park. What will it take to get this fixed, other than excuses from BTD and the Parks Department?
