ATTENTION ATTENTION: CITY OF BOSTON BOSTON PUBLIC WORKS/ PWD BOSTON TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT COMMISSIONER NICK GROVE( nick.gove@boston.gov), On behalf of the Uphams Corner Community, Residents, Merchants and Visitors to Uphams Corner Main Street, we are requesting emergency repairs a dangerous and hazardous pedestrian crosswalk, hopefully followed by expeditious permanent replacement of this hazardous and dangerous pedestrian crosswalk. This dangerous and hazardous pedestrian crosswalk is a public safety, diminishing the quality of life of the community and its in SEVERE VIOLATIONS OF THE AMERICAN with DISABILITY ACT 1990. ADA Guidelines for Crosswalk Hazards and Impediments : Vertical Changes in Level and Gratings and Openings are the violations. This dangerous and hazardous crosswalk is located on Columbia Road at Stoughton Street and Dudley Street by the Santana Bank. The pedestrian crossword has huge indents and up grating into them. These hazards are tripping pedestrians and making it dangerous/hazardous for physically and visually impaired
