- Vandalism to electric bicycle (slashed tires) near Boston Public Library On Saturday, June 13, 2026, my wife’s electric bicycle was vandalized at the bicycle parking area near the Boston Public Library (Copley Square, Exeter Street side). The bicycle is a cyan colored electric bike. We arrived together at approximately 3:00 PM and parked both bicycles at the bike racks. At around 6:00 PM, I left by bicycle and confirmed that both bikes were still present and undamaged at that time. When my wife returned around 8:00 PM, her bicycle had both tires slashed and was no longer usable. I had to transport the bicycle by car and will need to pay approximately $100-200$ for repairs. At the time of return, there were likely only two bicycles remaining in the immediate area, and the other bicycle also appeared to have had its tires slashed. The incident occurred between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. There is a security camera nearby on Exeter Street, which may have captured the incident or individuals responsible. We request that this footage be reviewed if possible. | Case (SR) Type: [BPD: Crime] Referred To: [POLICE: AREA D-4]
