- Hello! I sent a request on 5/7/2026 about a fallen tree on behalf of my neighbor. It is on a piece of property that I am confused about. In the case I submitted which is BCS-00203651, whoever replied to it says the city has no jurisdiction over it. If that is so, then who owns it and is responsible for it? There are a lot of trees on that long stretch of land between the two sides of Johnson Street and many houses would be affected if a tree falls which is what happened in May. It caused damage to my neighbor's car and the fallen branch is still there. I have included my original 311 and the property map from the city of Boston website which shows a clear property line for every household in the area and the paper road running between our property lines. There doesn't seem to be any boundary for that piece of land which is why it seems like the city is responsible for it. I just want clarity as to who owns this land so they can be held accountable for it. It is very overgrown and there is a lot of potential for property damage if the trees are not evaluated for their health. Thank you so much! | Case (SR) Type: [Assessing] Referred To: [ASSESSING DEPARTMENT]
