Description: I respectfully request that Mayor Wu address the shooting at Hood Park Drive on Friday, June 19 at approximately 10:30 PM. There should be a full investigation as to what the events were that we’re taking place and why there was not sufficient security in place. There were more vehicles than parking could handle across four parking lots surrounding Hood Park. I have lived here for seven years and last night when I came home around 8:15 I was nervous for my safety for the first time. There was no advertising present on property for the event that was taking place at either Urban Wild (100 Hood Park Drive)or at the fenced in enclosure that is managed currently by the owners of Urban Wild/Tradesmen. Apparently, a World Cup watch party for the Brazil Haiti match was being held at the nightclub/bowling alley known as Urban Wild. It is not clear what the event was that was taking place at the fenced in enclosure outside of Urban Wild. Urban Wild has a City of Boston liquor license and the fenced in enclosure, I believe has a conditional liquor license to function as a beer garden… It is apparent that there were overcrowding conditions amounting to potential violations of those alcohol licenses. | Case (SR) Type: [Mayor's Request] Referred To: [MAYORAL REQUESTS]
