- Location: Waumbeck Street at the corner of Wenonah Street, Roxbury. I am requesting a review of recurring emergency access concerns and oversized truck parking on Waumbeck Street & Wenonah Street. Large box trucks and similar oversized work vehicles are routinely parked overnight and for extended periods on this residential block. On at least one recent occasion, a Boston Fire Department vehicle was unable to pass because of one of these trucks and had to wait while the driver was located and moved the vehicle. This caused traffic to back up while emergency responders waited. These oversized vehicles also reduce visibility around the curve and intersection for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. Please investigate whether these vehicles comply with Boston's residential parking regulations and determine whether additional parking restrictions or other safety measures are warranted at this location.
