- Every weekend night, but especially once the weather is nice, the corner of Ipswich and Lansdowne is swarmed with cabs. They double/triple park, block traffic, drive erratically and block site lines. I work at the MGM Music Hall and when I’m leaving work I just need to cross the road and yet every weekend it feel SO dangerous because these cabs are parked 3 deep, blocking the whole street and other drivers are mad and speed around them. Several times I have almost been hit by a car. Not to mention they block traffic on Lansdowne St. Some of them are Uber/Lyft but I have to assume some are Gypsy cabs operating illegally. There was 1 time I saw a cop there directing traffic and shooing those cabs off and it was great!! But I guess that was a one time occurrence. I don’t currently have photos but because a cop was sent out there once, I know you guys know what I’m talking about.
