- Description
- Hi there. Since May 27, we have had a rat in our apartment at 1109 Boylston St Unit 3. Since then, we have had exterminators place traps on three separate occasions, but both of the exterminators have said that the rat will continue to find its way into the kitchen until the broken sink cabinet is completely replaced. Since the first incident, we have had to construct barriers ourselves using planks and steel wool, but as the exterminators pointed out, the rat will eventually find its way back in. We have attempted to make contact with our landlord and building management to have this cabinet replaced, but they have not been responsive to our request after more than a month. We would like to kindly ask for the assistance from the city of Boston to provide inspectional services to our apartment in order to have our landlord replace the cabinet. The rat in our kitchen is hugely affecting our quality of life and could potentially pose a massive health risk to us, the tenants. Please feel free to contact me regarding this issue to hopefully resolve it quickly. Thanks a lot in advance.
