Description
Ongoing Illegal Contractor Parking on Beacon and Marlborough Streets I am writing to raise a recurring issue with contractor vehicles parking illegally on Beacon Street and Marlborough Street, particularly in areas with significant ongoing construction activity. There appears to be a substantial number of contractors occupying resident parking spaces without the appropriate permits. This has become extremely frustrating for residents, as the existing construction activity is already significantly reducing available parking, and vehicles that do not have the proper permits are further limiting residents’ ability to park near their homes. I understand that construction projects require contractor vehicles and that some street occupancy may be necessary. However, contractors should be required to obtain and display the appropriate permits and comply with the City’s parking regulations. At present, the frequency of these violations makes it appear that there is insufficient enforcement in these areas. I would respectfully ask the City to increase enforcement on Beacon Street and Marlborough Street and investigate whether contractors associated with the ongoing construction projects are complying with the applicable parking and street occupancy requirements. If this continues to be a persistent issue, I am prepared to coordinate with other affected residents and submit a collective complaint to the City. I believe there are a number of residents experiencing the same problem, and a coordinated response may be necessary to ensure that the issue is addressed consi<truncated>
