- Description
- Hello, I am reporting a recurring issue at the Gassy toddler playground located on Prince Street the North End of Boston. Although the park entrances clearly display “No Dogs Allowed” signage, an individual brings their dog into the playground every morning between 6-6:30am to allow it to relieve itself. This happens daily and creates an unsanitary and unsafe environment for the toddlers who use the playground daily, including mine. I have addressed the individual directly in a polite manner, but the behavior has continued with no change. This playground is a designated children’s play area where dogs are prohibited under Boston Parks & Recreation rules, and dog waste, even when picked up, poses a health risk in a toddler play zone. This is also true of the hockey rink next to the play lot, although the infractions are done by other individuals.
