- I spotted two swans on land near the entrance to the esplanade ahead of the community boathouse just after the steps to the walkway to Charles street/Cambridge street. They appeared to be walking normally and were not walking towards the water. This was at 315 pm et on 1/11/2026. I’m not sure if they were in distress, but I’ve never seen them on land over there in the winter when the river is partially frozen.
