- Dead (young) tree. Tree was planted in the fall looking not much different than it does now. I just snapped off the tips of one of the branches and it is clearly dead. Nonetheless, the City’s contractor comes and waters it. This tree needs an evaluation, just like the one a little further down on South Street in front of Shaking Seafood. History is on the side of Wallpaper City.

Noted. The new tree in question is under warranty for two years from the date it was planted (2025). All new trees are inspected every summer during the warranty period by a BPRD staff arborist to make sure they are alive and healthy. If they are found to be dead, they will be placed on the warranty replacement list for the contractor to replace in the next planting season.
