- Around 6:30 p.m. on 5/26/26 my (William Thompson DOB 09/16/1992) wife (Meaghan Gsell DOB 09/18/1992) was taking our dog out for a walk at our house (9 Jamaicaway Court Jamaica Plain, MA 02130). As she turned to close the gate to our fenced in yard, two large dogs from across the street (10 Jamaicaway Court) came running over. They didn’t have collars or leashes. One looked like a German Shepherd and the other was also a large dark colored dog, but I am not sure what breed. They attacked (jumped up, scratched, bitt at) our leashed dog (45-lb mutt puppy) and my wife (5’ 7”/145-lbs) as she tried to get our dog back over/inside our fence. My wife went to the ER by ambulance because in addition to the scratches and bruises she suffered to her legs, arms, and stomach, she is nine weeks pregnant. She got an ultrasound, tetanus shot, and was given some wipes to use for the scratches. Our dog had a small cut on his leg. Which we are monitoring at home for the time being. We believe the dogs belong to the residents at 10 Jamaicaway Court, but are unsure. We also think they run a boarding service out of the home. We are not sure how they got out, and their owner was not with them although she did call for them from her front door after a passerby helped ward them off (they went back). Photos are attached.
