Description: I live on Jones Hill in Dorchester specifically on Jerome Street. Every single night my family as well as my neighbors are awoken at all hours of the night due to illegal fireworks. I understand it happening occasionally or around certain holidays but it is getting out of hand. From what I can hear from my house it usually sounds like it’s coming from various areas surrounding Hancock St and Upham Ave although it’s hard to identify specific locations. I’m not sure what can be done, but this has become a significant quality-of-life issue for many residents. The majority of adults in this neighborhood have to wake up early for work, and many families have young children, pets, or elderly relatives who are also being disturbed. I would greatly appreciate it if this issue could be looked into. Thank you for your time and for everything you do to help keep our neighborhood safe.
