- Description
- (Same case again because my other one was closed with nothing being done) I am requesting that the Boston Transportation Department review the parking configuration on Roswell Street, Boston, MA 02119. There is only one residential property on this street, and I am a resident with a valid Roxbury Resident Parking Permit. Despite having a resident permit, it has become extremely difficult to park near my home due to the surrounding commercial activity. City Fresh Foods occupies a large portion of the street with delivery trucks and employee vehicles. In addition, Chick-fil-A generates constant traffic from customers, Uber Eats, and DoorDash drivers who frequently occupy the limited parking spaces. There is also a nearby auto repair shop that regularly leaves vehicles on the street, further reducing available parking. A permanent Tow Zone/No Parking restriction also removes additional curb space. As a result, residents have very limited practical access to parking on their own street. I respectfully request that the Boston Transportation Department conduct a parking and curb-use review of Roswell Street to determine whether the current parking regulations appropriately balance the needs of the surrounding businesses with the needs of the residential property. I would appreciate any recommendations or actions that could improve parking availability and access for residents. Thank you for your time and consideration.
