- This mattress has been left on the street for several days (in the intense rain, heat, etc), and it is creating health, safety, and cleanliness problems for our community. Because it has been outside, the mattress can collect moisture and develop mold and mildew, which are unsafe for people who walk and kids are always playing nearby. The mattress makes the street look neglected and can encourage more illegal dumping in the same area.
