- Description
- Mr. Eng and MBTA Board Daily ongoing issue at MBTA Back Bay Station: An individual has been occupying the station, including sleeping and conducting personal activities, for more than two years. The pattern occurs during early morning hours (approximately 5:30–7:00 a.m.) and evening hours (approximately 9:00–11:00 p.m.). The women’s restroom, including the ADA stall, is repeatedly occupied for extended periods, leaving health hazard items on the stall floor, limiting access for passengers and creating ongoing health and sanitation concerns. With the commuter rail lobby restricted due to renovations, this is also impacting station operations and construction activities. What is the long-term plan for addressing this recurring health and safety issue and ensuring ADA access, sanitation, and proper use of station facilities?
