Description
Daily ongoing issue at MBTA Back Bay Station: An individual has been occupying the station, including sleeping, bathing, and conducting personal activities, for over two years, primarily during early morning and evening hours. The women’s restroom, including the ADA stall, is repeatedly occupied for extended periods with biohazard material in a bag left on the stall floor, creating sanitation concerns and limiting passenger access. The MBTA is a transit system, not a housing or social service facility. While assistance should be offered, individuals who decline services must still follow transit rules or leave the property. What is the long-term plan to address this recurring health and safety issue while ensuring ADA access?
