- Description
- Neighbor in the vicinity neglects two dogs (a blonde mixed mitt and a brown doberman) within their home, and I am deeply concerned about the dogs' safety and well-being. The dogs bark and cry loudly and incessantly, all day long and all night long. The dogs are often left outside in the backyard for hours at a time during the height of the summer's heat, as well as throughout the night, consistently whining to get inside (so loud so that I cannot sleep). You can also hear the dogs barking inside the house from the sidewalk, across the street, and even down the street for hours at a time - often well past midnight. In addition to the constant noise, their backyard is covered in dog excrements as well as household trash, which smells absolutely atrocious and I can only imagine the rodents/vermin in attracts. The noise and the smell has without a doubt affected the quality of life for surrounding neighbors. This has been an ongoing issue for many months - along with previous 311 complaints that I have personally made, several neighbors have informed me that they have called multiple times to both 311 and Animal Control. It's my understanding that there may be a current / active case open with Animal Control as well. After months of complaints, this issue still stands to be resolved.
