Pruning Request

Description: This is not the correct category for this request, but I couldn't figure out where to put it. Last summer, I received a code violation for a tree in my front yard citing that the branches were blocking the sidewalk. I called Public Works and spoke to someone - they said that since the tree is a weeping birch, I should cut a path through the branches to make sure people can pass through it. I did that this year but received another violation. I appealed, but then last week received another violation, despite the fact I'm trying to figure this out. I am trying to follow the instructions that I was given and request assistance rather than violations. I've called Public Works multiple times this summer and no one answers the phone. Could you have someone email me at kcrounse@hotmail.com to help me sort this out? I want to cut the branches the right way while still preserving the "weeping" nature of the tree. We have so little tree coverage in Mattapan, I don't want to remove the tree, but the the repeated violations with no response from Public Works is hard to handle. I'm very frustrated about this whole situation. Thank you.
