Hello. I'm writing to inform you that the Mansfield Street dog park needs a waste management pickup by the City. I'm here for a few months and traveling with my dog. Currently we’re staying in the area just a few doors down from the park. I noticed during our first visit there that there was a pile of waste doggy bags that folks were throwing on the ground as there was not trash receptacle. Flies were everywhere. So I purchased a small bin and layered it with garbage bags. I picked up the pile of dog bags and placed in the bin and now it is full to the top and folks are starting to leave bags on the ground again. Since they are full of dog feces and there's a rat problem I feel this is turning into a public health issue. Who do I talk to about getting some action (removal of the trash and a city issued waste bin). The park is located on the corner of Lincoln and Mansfield Streets in Allston.
