Description
Request for Housing Inspection - State Sanitary Code Violations Requesting an Inspectional Services Division (ISD) Housing Inspection for severe ceiling water damage and active falling plaster debris in the common hallway outside Unit 32 at 1799 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132. Location: Common hallway / primary exit path directly outside Unit 32. Specific Violations: Active water leak and ceiling collapse directly surrounding an illuminated electrical EXIT sign (violating 105 CMR 410.500 / structural & egress safety hazards). Current Hazard: Deteriorating plaster continues to fall onto the floor whenever it rains, leaving plaster debris in the walkway and creating a safety hazard for residents and children in a common exit route. Property management has refused to address this as a safety matter, calling it "cosmetic." Additional History: Building also experienced a multi-day total hot water outage from August 22 through August 26 due to expansion tank failure.
