Sidewalk Repair

Description: I live in South Boston and I’m writing regarding the recent sidewalk work directly adjacent to our condominium building. The sidewalk has been cut away along the entire side of the building, leaving a significant open gap between the sidewalk and the building foundation. I’m concerned that this open area may allow rainwater to drain directly against the foundation and potentially cause water intrusion or damage to the building (which happened in 2012 when the city did sidewalk repairs and caused significant damage). I am concerned with the rain tomorrow and could you please confirm how this area is going to be properly restored and sealed to prevent water from getting between the sidewalk and the building foundation?
