- Description
- I am writing to formally voice my frustration regarding severe, ongoing maintenance issues in the building that are impacting all residents' health, safety, and daily living conditions. 1. Trash Compactor Inoperable for Months The trash compactor has been out of service for months. As a result, garbage is piling up, creating an unbearable stench throughout the building hallways and posing a clear sanitation hazard. This ongoing failure is unacceptable and places an unfair, excessive physical burden on our building's custodian, who is constantly forced to manually deal with the overflow. 2. Severe Elevator Disruptions & Inspection Failures For the past two weeks, only one elevator has been operational for the entire building. To make matters worse, the currently running elevator was previously shut down because it was overdue for a required safety inspection—an inspection it still has not received. It was simply turned back on because the other elevator broke down. Operating an uninspected elevator while leaving residents with unreliable access is a major safety and accessibility violation. 3. Inadequate On-Site Management These persistent issues highlight a concerning pattern: building management continues to do the bare minimum rather than proactively resolving critical property problems. Passive oversight is no longer tolerable when basic basic amenities, cleanliness, and safety standards are being compromised.
