- I am writing to formally report misleading and incomplete street parking signage at this location, which directly resulted in unfair ticketing for multiple drivers today , A street, near melcher and necco. Inaccurate/Incomplete Street Signage: The posted sign directly in front of where I parked explicitly states "2 Hour Parking - Pay via ParkBoston." There is zero mention or indication anywhere on this sign that a residential permit or special permit is required. If permit restrictions apply here, clear and visible signage stating "Permit Only during xx hours" or specific permit hours must be installed immediately. Misleading ParkBoston App Instructions: When attempting to verify restrictions via the ParkBoston app, the app simply directs users to "Look for posted signage." Following this instruction leads directly to the incomplete sign on the street, creating a trap for drivers who are actively attempting to comply with city rules. Its also not helpful that there is A parking meter that says no payment is required at this time, how many confusing messages are these? Widespread Confusion: This is not an isolated oversight. At least two other vehicles parked behind me received tickets at the same time for the exact same reason. The parking enforcement officer was standing right at the location capitalizing on this confusion rather than addressing the obvious gap in signage with the city. I spoke with him and he AGREED on the confusing signage as well. Later he proceeded to show me a sign that was placed at the beginning of the street. So the city is expecting me not only to read the 4 signs but also walk around the block to make sure no other signs apply?? Move the signage to the same post as the others if thats what the issue is. Please fix the sign, 60$ of a fine from anyone who doesnt live in the area and doesnt know any better is ridiculous.
