Description
Location: Outside Alex’s Pizza, South End, Boston, MA Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026 Time: 9:29 PM Multiple vehicles, including a garbage truck servicing Alex’s Pizza, are blocking the designated bus lane, creating a serious public safety hazard. As documented in the attached photograph, numerous vehicles are illegally occupying the designated bus lane, obstructing public transportation and creating dangerous conditions for buses, cyclists, pedestrians, and other motorists. Additionally, the garbage truck servicing Alex’s Pizza is contributing to the obstruction, further restricting traffic flow and access to the designated transportation lanes. These repeated obstructions may force buses and other motorists to maneuver into adjacent or opposing traffic lanes, increasing the risk of collisions and potentially interfering with emergency vehicle access. This is an ongoing and recurring problem at this location, involving repeated violations of Boston parking and traffic regulations. I request immediate parking enforcement, issuance of appropriate citations, towing where legally authorized, and increased monitoring of this location. I also request that the City investigate the commercial waste collection practices contributing to these dangerous roadway obstructions. Photographic evidence is attached documenting the conditions at 9:29 PM on October 17, 2026.
