Description: I live in Chinatown and there is a squeaking/clicking coming from what I believe is rooftop ventilation and exhaust hood running overnight. I think the fan belt is loose or a bearing is worn out, and it is emitting a rhythmic, high-pitched squeak. It only happens in evening hours, but lasts throughout the night and into the early morning. I have not been able to locate the exact source, and is not heard at street level. It is most likely from an apartment building or restaurant near the intersection of Essex Street. and Edinboro St. I live on the 9th floor, so I hear it every night.
