Loose needles

My friend and I ate at El Barco in the Back Bay, located at 50 Dalton Street, Boston, MA 02215 on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at approximately 2:30pm. We both became violently ill the following morning and day (Sunday, March 8, 2026) with my friend vomiting for several hours and myself suffering from several severe diarrhea sessions. I have reason to believe that proper food sanitation guidelines are not being followed, particularly when it comes to the self serve salsa bar, located at the back of the restaurant. The salsa was kept at room temperature in a dimly lit room, uncovered and exposed to the elements. As a result of this, I request that Boston’s Inspectional Services Division conduct a visit and investigation into this licensed establishment. Thank you in advance.

Noise. The alarm has been going off for the last 3 hours

Fire alarm on our street is low battery and won’t stop chirping every 30 seconds. Has been going on for days with no end.

There is significant rodent activity on the left side of the property behind 84 Fayston Street in Dorchester, near the trash storage area. Trash is frequently left exposed on the ground because garbage bags are not tied and waste such as diapers, food containers, bottles, and other debris are thrown on the floor rather than placed inside the trash bins. These conditions create unsanitary conditions and attract rodents. I have personally cleaned the walkway and trash area twice since December because the families living in the neighboring building continue to throw their trash on the ground instead of placing it inside the trash containers. During the first cleaning on December 24, I almost grabbed a rat while picking up trash and had to run when about six rats ran out from the area. A total of 36 rats were captured last month in the neighboring building, showing the severity of the rodent problem. This situation presents a clear public health concern and requires inspection and rodent control measures. This issues has been present since years ago with the only difference that new tenants increased the sanitation issue to the point is impossible to sleep at night with the rat noise and mice are coming inside our building. They have eaten are electrical connections causing to loose light in our hallways.
