    Noted. For the BPRD to utilize a donated tree it needs to be 1.5” in caliper and 6ft tall or greater. Most trees from the Arbor Day foundation are .25” caliper and 1ft tall. Small trees like this need to be kept in a nursery for years to become established enough to plant in a park. If you have any more questions please contact trees@boston.gov thank you.

    Intersection Of Park Plz And Arlington St And Saint James Ave, Boston, Ma

    Right turn only lane (Arlington St./ St James St.) intersection excessively abused. I walk that route daily. Every day I view at least 5 cars ignoring the “Right turn Only” arrows and cars proceed straight through the intersection. That intersection is a mess as it is very confusing and only produces daily back ups. The whole route needs to be reevaluated and redesigned. Actually the right turn lane works better if it were dedicated to straight AND right turn only since that is how it is actually being used. If it stays as is then that intersection rule should be enforced. Just a suggestion to ease traffic flow in my neighborhood.

    I live on 832 Hyde Park Ave, there’s a long strip of ice starting at the light where hyde park ave intersects with American Legion Highway all the way up to where my driveway starts.     Franklin Square park has an entrance as St George St and E Brookline St that is completely iced over and inaccessible. The ice extends from the entrance to the surrounding sidewalks. |

    Case Noted. Thank you for reaching out regarding Franklin Square. During snow events we prioritize perimeter sidewalks at our 331 properties citywide. Most interior pathways are intended for seasonal use during our permitting season from April to November. Some park interiors, particularly those with central locations and a high volume of pedestrian traffic, may be cleared when and where possible after abutting sidewalks have been cleared. Additionally, we do not typically apply salt to the interior of parks as it can damage the adjacent turf or planting beds.

    Please help at intersection of Arlington and St. James at the Park Plaza Hotel. This intersection needs very obvious, large signing that the left-hand lane on Arlington is for left-hand turn only onto Stuart Street. This stretch has turned into a nightmare of cars getting in the wrong (left) lane on Arlington jamming up the intersections on both ends . Thank you.
