Constituent is calling becauase of their great difficulties getting their child transferred from Excel High School over to Academy of the Pacific Rim charter public school. Constituent states they filled out the paper work to withdraw their student from BPS to then become a student at APR, but had their childs start date pushed back twice. Constituent child was suposed to start on Wednesday, October 23, but once there the school told constituent they had no record. Constituent states they had extensive conversations with the Director of Enrollment and Family Engagement, Gabrielle, who had explained the mistakes on the APR schools part for the push back of the start date, but since has not returned any calls or emails. Constituent states they had gotten the notification that their child had a seat at APR on the 15th and constituent accpeted the seat on the 15th. Constituent states that APR called them to officially welcome their child to the school on the 16th. Why are vuvuzelas banned at Fenway but not on city sidewalks across from residential buildings? Day 8 of Boston Park Plaza strike - they’ve been using vuvuzelas for at least the past two days. At least four apartment buildings adjacent to hotel means 1500+ residents impacted by excessive noise in their own homes, with likely even more impacted 1-2 blocks away
