Iacona Baseball Field Hyde Park/Readville - Boston Athletics Academy has been given Iacona as a home field starting on April 11th. The infield is in very poor condition (regardless of snow). The field could use significant work including but not limited to; tilling the top dirt, adding new dirt in low spots and areas of bad drainage, a roll over and a final till. The benches could use some love, same benches I sat on for Babe Ruth in the late 90s. There will be 3/4 teams using this as a home field and last year was really bad for infield grounders and even sliding. Many of the parents are concerned that this field, in its current condition, may injury a player.

Everyday. All day. These plumbing trucks in the 30 minute load zone. Every single day. I keep reporting this but nothing seems to happen. I don't know what to do. Why won't you ticket them? Are they immune?
