Broken Sidewalk
480 Columbus Ave, Roxbury, Ma, 02118To Whom It May Concern, I am writing on behalf of Petit Robert Bistro, located at 480 Columbus Avenue in Boston’s South End, regarding the broken and uneven sidewalk directly in front of our restaurant. This has been an ongoing issue for several years, but it becomes particularly problematic during our permitted outdoor patio season (May 1st–November 1st). When we install our patio extension, the uneven pavement creates an unsafe walking surface for pedestrians and makes it difficult to safely place tables and chairs. We have already experienced a few incidents where customers have tripped and fallen. Fortunately, no one has been seriously injured, but the situation remains a safety concern. Beyond safety, this also affects the overall appearance of the neighborhood and the experience of residents and visitors in one of Boston’s most prominent areas. With increased pedestrian activity expected this year, especially with the soccer World Cup bringing more visitors to the city, we believe it is important to address this matter before the upcoming patio season begins. We would greatly appreciate the City’s assistance in inspecting and repairing this section of sidewalk as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact us at info@petitrobertbistro.com or thibautgiquel@gmail.com to discuss this matter or coordinate an inspection. Thibaut PRB Manager Best regards, Petit Robert Bistro 480 Columbus Avenue Boston, MA 02118

Illegal Parking
372 Athens St, South Boston, Ma, 02127Why will the city not enforce its own signs for parking while EV charging only? Grey Tesla not charging. Gas engine taking up another spot. This is ridiculous.

Broken Sidewalk
391 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, Ma, 02215The sidewalk at 391 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA is uneven and cracked with individual slabs tilted in different directions and not aligning, which creates a trip hazard and is especially hazardous when covered in snow or leaves; and it's unsightly and also causes water to drain onto our property. This message is our request, as residents of 391 Commonwealth Avenue, for the city to repair this section of sidewalk and even it out. The sidewalks in front of the other addresses on this block are in much better condition than this one segment. I have attached 3 photos, but can send more - there was only space for 3. Thanks!

100 City Hall Plz, Boston, Ma, 02108I was recently at City Hall and noticed the wellness item machine near the bathroom near the north elevators on the 2nd floor. I noticed that the machine charges for tampons and pads. This creates barriers for people to access products that they need. When a person is in need of a tampon or pad, they should be able to get it easily and at no cost in a public space. City Hall should be an example of this and should not charge people for these items. | Case (SR) Type: [City-owned Lots/Properties] Referred To: [PROPERTY MANAGEMENT]

40 Rugg Rd, Allston, Ma, 02134This is a formal report of a Zoning Code violation for excessive light trespass and unshielded exterior lighting at 40 Rugg Rd (Harper Apartments). An exterior commercial light fixture on this building—specifically located on the top floor patio facing west —is completely unshielded and angled directly into my adjacent residential condo unit. The intensity of the glare is illuminating my home at night, creating a private nuisance that prevents sleep and disrupts the use of my property. Under Boston Zoning regulations, exterior commercial lighting must be shielded and directed downward to prevent light trespass onto adjacent residential properties. I have attached photos showing the severe glare penetrating my home. I am requesting that ISD inspect this violation and issue a citation requiring the property management to install a cut-off shield or angle the fixture downward to comply with city code.

249 Corey Rd, Brighton, Ma, 02135Hello, I would like to request that the City review the traffic conditions on street 249 Corey Rd Brighton, MA, 02135 and consider making it one-way (starting from Washington street where Wholefood is located through the intersection with Winchester street). The street is very narrow and located on a hill, and it currently experiences a significant amount of traffic, including large trucks. Because of the limited width, vehicles often struggle to pass each other. Additionally, trucks and other heavy vehicles create significant noise when driving uphill, especially at night, which regularly wakes residents. Converting the street to one-way traffic could help improve safety, reduce congestion, and lower the nighttime noise levels for people living here. If a one-way conversion is not possible, I would appreciate it if the City could consider alternative traffic calming measures, such as: Truck restrictions (no trucks except local deliveries) Traffic calming measures such as speed humps Additionally, the road surface is uneven, which causes vehicles and trucks to make significant noise when driving over it. I would appreciate it if the City could also evaluate whether the street could be resurfaced or repaired. I would be grateful if the Boston Transportation Department could review the situation and evaluate possible solutions. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
