Bird St & Columbia RdEmergency Transit Safety Complaint: Systemic service capacity failures are occurring on MBTA Bus Route 16 during the morning school commute block between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Multiple scheduled transit vehicles are arriving entirely at maximum capacity and consistently bypassing designated stops. This failure leaves numerous local school children stranded on neighborhood sidewalks during dark early morning hours, creating an unacceptable disruption to their educational attendance and presenting a severe, active public safety risk by leaving youth exposed to neighborhood street crime and predators. Precedent Warnings: Public safety risks at unserved transit stops are well-documented, notably mirroring the severe unprovoked morning assault of a 13-year-old student at the Andrew Square MBTA busway and neighborhood predator exposure incidents on Huntington Avenue. Requested Action: Request that the City of Boston's transportation coordinators immediately interface with MBTA management to deploy extra vehicle sweeps and structurally increase morning service frequencies on Route 16 to guarantee local students are picked up safely and on schedule. • Case Type: Public Transit Service Disruption / Public Safety Hazard • Neighborhood Location: Uphams Corner / Dorchester Corridor • Primary Location Anchors: Columbia Road & Dudley Street / Columbia Road & Stoughton Street • Department Routing: Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services (ONS) / Boston Transportation Department Liaison Desk • Urgency Level: High – Recurring Safety Hazard Involving Vulnerable Minor Populations

Intersection Of Anthony Rip Valenti Way And Haverhill St, BostonHealth hazard!! Bird dropping are are health hazard in north station MBTA . It has been getting worse. Pigeons are pooping all over the stairs and escalators (valenti side) . Not safe to hold hand rails or to even breathe. MBTA needs to add netting to keep pigeons from roosting above the interior escalators. Even though they clean periodically it is never enough. Ideally need to stop people from feeding or need to exterminate/ relocate there are so many pigeons!! | Case (SR) Type: [MBTA] Referred To: [MBTA]

Intersection Of Bird St And Jerome St And Hancock St, DorchesterConstituent states via Contact Form on 7/11: Hello, I wanted to inquire about getting a bench or proper seating at a specific bus stop. On the 15 and 17 bus lines, the stop at Hancock st @ Bird st going towards Fields Corner does not have any seating or even a covering structure. There's ample space for a bench to be put in. The stop on the other side of the street going the other direction has a few benches, but this direction does not. I would like to request one be installed. Thank you, Elliot | Case (SR) Type: [MBTA] Referred To: [MBTA]
