Intersection Of John F. Fitzgerald Surface Rd And Lincoln St, Boston, MaPlease report to MASS DOT or Boston transportation department- none of the crosswalks that connect (see pics) are going at the same time. Pedestrians can only cross a small portion of the road at a time and then end up on a tiny median waiting. Very dangerous!! Please change this.

Intersection Of New Washington St And Washington St And Arborway, Jamaica Plain, MaHello, I am reaching out because I go through the intersection of Washington St/New Washington St./Arborway daily as a driver, pedestrian and cyclist. In my experience, and observing the experience of others, the way that the current Pedestrian Walk Signals are timed with Traffic Light Signals are incredibly dangerous. They are timed such that Pedestrians and Cyclists are given the Signal into the same Crosswalk, at the same time, that turning vehicles (both LEFT and right turns) are given their signal. Because the vehicle turning radiuses are large/long, vehicles often specifically have the time to speed up before getting the intersection where people are crossing. I want to understand the rationale for why it is the way it is today, and if the community can work with the City to make much needed safety improvements. I've personally got ideas for improving this intersection for all modes of transit. The current situation is objectively incredibly dangerous. This is the second time I have submitted a request, and the first one was closed out with no action at all. I am writing again today because I was almost hit while crossing Washington Street today in the middle of the day by a car who had the right to turn right into the same intersection. I really demand that someone get back to me on this request to discuss further, and I am happy to help organize the neighborhood too. Thank you. - Angela Gile |

1 Fenway Plz, Unit 2, Boston, Ma, 02215Can the city of Boston consider adding a third cycle for the traffic and pedestrian walk signals . When the walk sign is on at the same time does the traffic lights it?s impossible for pedestrians to cross safely and for traffic to get through the intersection without in your accident. In other words traffic light, traffic light, pedestrian walk sign. They implemented this in Somerville and it is very successful. The area around Fenway is so crowded with pedestrians this would be such a relief!

General Traffic Engineering Request
Intersection Of Massachusetts Ave And Albany St, Roxbury, MaConstiuents states that he would like BTD to change the signals at most intersections, it should not turn green at a right turn while pedestrians are also given the right of way. It is just dangerous because sometimes people come out of nowhere while the vehicle is turning. It would be best to let the pedestrians go and then have the light turn green. |

Student Move-in Issues
Intersection Of Newmarket Sq And Massachusetts Ave, Roxbury, MaLocation: At the Massachusetts Avenue @ Newmarket Square Sidewalk(check the attached picture for more detail) - 42.326746, -71.066806 Issue: Pedestrian walk signal and green light are turning ON simultaneously, and all vehicles are proceeding with NO caution all the time in this area. It would be ideal if the city could set the RED light at the traffic signal when the sidewalk signal is on and add a sign for NO TURN ON RED to avoid the vehicle turning right. It is incredibly unsafe for people

General Traffic Engineering Request
Intersection Of Dartmouth St And Tremont St, Roxbury, Mafwd'd to 3111 from MassDOT I have witnessed, and experienced, MANY near miss accidents at the dartmouth/Tremont street intersection in the south end due to pedestrians walking WITH a WALK signal, but cars taking a TURN (right or left) INTO the intersection. There should be a clear right of way for pedestrians. If a pedestrian gets a walk signal, they should be able to walk unencumbered without the ability of ANY car entering the intersection. There was a man in a wheelchair hit in this intersection....and just yesterday I witnessed three near misses! PLEASE make this simple adjustment for our safety.... red light cameras, enforcing no turn on red, and walk only on red at both intersections. |

Intersection Of Washington St And South St, Jamaica Plain, MaI submitted this before and it was closed because it said there was signage and there?s not. There is a sign telling bikes to yield to pedestrians. There are no signs telling cars to yield to pedestrians and bikes. I?ve been verbally assaulted here by cars turning not understanding that I have the right of way (a pedestrian go signal while they also have a green light). They assume because they have a green that they can fly through the intersection. There needs to be some sign or blinking yellow light so cars proceed with caution.
