Intersection Of W Broadway And A St, South Boston, Ma

August 26 ~4:10pm at A street and W Broadway intersection. I commute on foot through this intersection and cars often ignore the pedestrian walk signals and drive into foot traffic, some at dangerously high speeds to beat a yellow light or make a right on red. The problem is especially bad at rush hour (4pm-6pm) when A st traffic onto Dorchester Ave is backed up and motorists block the Broadway x A st intersection. Light cycle after light cycle, this results in a line of cars in the middle of the intersection proceeding to cross despite having a red light and the ped xing being on. Some cars pause for peds and others absolutely floor it while people are in the middle of the cross walk which is terrifying. At 4:10pm today, this exact event occurred (as it does daily). Big SUV stranded in the middle of the intersection just flooring it through the red light and multiple people mid crosswalk with no hesitation. No exaggeration, I get nervous to do this crossing on my commute to and from work. I have personally had close calls while simply obeying the ped crossing. Can anything please be done here? "Do not block intersection" boxes? Better signage near the traffic lights? | Case (SR) Type: [BPD: Traffic/Parking] Referred To: [POLICE: AREA C-6]

Intersection Of Harcourt St And Saint Botolph St, Boston, Ma

Another new set of curb ramps at St Botolph St and Harcourt St. I think these pads should also be red instead of yellow. Furthermore, would it be possible to align the crosswalk so that it lines up with the cut-through rather than sending people in wheelchairs directly into a wall?

Intersection Of Anderson Pl And Anderson St, Boston, Ma

Can’t get out of my beacon hill parking area because city removed no parking red lines surrounding gate that have been effective for 25 years for safe entrance and exit. Gate is off Anderson 3 car lengths below Phillips. Now impossible to turn in and out of gate with cars parked so close on sides. Please replace red markings asap

    CLOSED #101006209578

Case Resolved. The parking lines you are referencing were placed illegally on public property by a private owner of the lot. As a result of their placement, cars that should not have been ticketed were. The removal of these lines was necessary in maintaining parking accessibility in Beacon Hill.

  • Illegal Parking

    981 A 981 Tremont St, Mission Hill, Ma, 02120

A company called University Mail Services is monopolizing parking on Benton St, off of Tremont/Columbus. They are a contractor for Northeastern University. Their red and white commercial vans park there and in the morning the employees block the road, move a van out, and put their personal car in the spot. They will do this with 5 or 6 cars. This has been happening for years. I'm told the vans have a parking lot up the street at the Renaissance building but they would rather take up all the spots on Benton St for themselves. They typically leave 4 to 5 feet between the vans, so that nobody can fit a car in there, and they take up more of the street for themselves. This is the epitomy of selfish and it deprives locals of a fair and equitable opportunity to park in the area, not to mention quite annoying. This can't be legal can it? Help!! You can see the line of vans up the street in the photo, and the door on the left in the other pic is the mail company's mailroom.

Intersection Of Summer St And Winter St And Washington St, Boston, Ma

No signs or other indicators ANYWHERE near the orange line oak grove station at DT crossing that the Red Line is running shuttle buses and that you can’t get off at DT crossing and transition to the alewife red line… there really needs to be better signage if you are completely closing a station. | Case (SR) Type: [MBTA] Referred To: [MBTA]

  • Damaged Sign

75 Atherton St, Roxbury, Ma, 02119

A “no parking” sign was pulled out of the sidewalk at 76 Atherton St, Jamaica Plain 02130. It is critical this is replaced as soon as possible - this section of curb needs to be free of cars, as it abuts a commercial loading dock receiving multiple box truck deliveries daily. Cars have already begun parking in that segment of curb, restricting access. The red line in the attached image is the location of the removed sign

8:13pm Silver line bus 1293 ran a red light onto Atlantic ave, then swung around two lanes of traffic almost swiping two cars. Driver is a maniac and should not be behind the wheel of a Boston public transportation | Case (SR) Type: [BPD: Traffic/Parking] Referred To: [POLICE: AREA A-1]
