  • Illegal Parking

296 Cambridge St, Boston, Ma, 02114

On Cambridge St (specifically Torit Montessori School - 300 Cambridge St) across from MGH, there have been construction vehicles and equipment for 18 months taking up the loading zone for the children’s pick up and drop off. In fact they are also taking up metered spots as well. I and several other parents have received parking tickets for parking on the side street where it’s designated no standing for 30-60 seconds at a time. The alternative is to block traffic on a busy road during rush hour. I see there are valid permits for the construction posted but when is this going to be completed by Feeney. This is construction being done on behalf of the city and they are issuing parking tickets of $90 a pop that the parking clerk doesn’t void upon appeal?? It’s getting ridiculous honestly

Case Resolved. That equipment has the proper permits and signage to be there. Thanks for submitting.

  • Tree or Stump Removal

106 Fletcher St, Boston, MA 02131

A large street tree at the border between 102 and 106 Fletcher in Roslindale has massively uplifted the sidewalk more than one foot causing a significant public safety hazard. The uplifted sidewalk has now heavily damaged a masonry wall and pulled apart a wrought iron fence atop it. There is thousands of dollars of damage to private property. My neighbor and myself have filed complaints with the city no less than three times over the past several years. Each time, a city crew adds more asphalt to the growing ramp - no real solution. There is now major private property damage. We now request a formal meeting with the city to fix the sidewalk buckling problem without taking down the tree as well as seeking compensation to fix the stone wall and metal fence. I am writing on behalf of myself, the property owner at 102 and Amy Kosmidis, the owner of 106. Please contact me at 617-637-6065.

    CLOSED #BCS-00185145

Resolved. All public street trees in the City of Boston and Massachusetts are protected by state law (MGL CH 87). The BPRD Urban Forestry Division is unable to remove a live and healthy public shade tree for the reason requested. The only way this tree could be removed for the reason requested is if the Public Works Department was planning to reconstruct all of Fletcher Street to make the sidewalks ADA compliant and to have public tree hearings for the possible removal of each shade tree on the street that is interfering with sidewalk passage. You can contact the City Clerks office regarding any damages to your property. Any repairs can be completed by you and any tree roots impacting your property my be cut at the property line.

  • Residential Trash out Illegally

9 Andria Rd, Mattapan, Ma, 02126

I have concerns and complaints that I would like to about my current neighbors who reside at 9 Andria Road, Hyde Park, MA 02136. I have noticed for some time now that when they dump their trash outside in the trash bins, there are no trash bags being used therefore, trash is free to just fall everywhere. When this happens, they do not pick all the trash up that falls on the ground. This causes their trash to be blown over onto my yard constantly and I am needing to clean it all up. I have attempted to talk to them to resolve this however it did not go well and I was dismissed by being told made a comment stating "it's not like it's food, it's just paper stuff so what's the big deal" and having the door slammed in my face. There have been large shards of glass on my property, food bags, wrappers, aluminum foil, paper all on my yard that they do not pick up so it is left for me and my family to do. I do not have a fence so the trash and hazardous items continue to just end up on my property. They also block the shared driveway with their trash bins on trash day instead of lining them up on the sidewalk so this makes it difficult to drive in the driveway. My children have some severe allergies to certain foods and mice and I have a little one who plays outside and I do not want their continued carelessness to get to a point where it starts to really affect my family or put them in harm's way nor do I want to have trash all over my property. I am inserting pictures but I am limited to attaching only 3 so if needed, I have more pictures available.

Resolved. Trash has been removed from location.

  • Illegal Parking

140 Wachusett St, Jamaica Plain, Ma, 02130

at the intersection of walk hill and wachusetts st in JP a not moving funeral line up was blocking the intersection and both roads for 10+ minutes making it near impossible to get through safely. No one was there to direct traffic and there was no police there to guide anything. It made it nearly impossible to get to my home on wachusetts st because the cars were blocking the road all the way up the street. it was unsafe and blocked multiple streets with no way around it.Someone needed to be directing traffic and the funeral should have had a better plan to not block traffic for an extended period of time. it was ridiculous and trying to get through it to my home i had funeral goes yelling at me for driving on my own street. A funeral procession should not get to block multiple lanes for an extended time not moving without someone to guide traffic or at least a police vehicle should have been present to keep people safe intead cars were forced into other lanes almost causing colisions and a backup of traffic

  • Abandoned Vehicle

14 Brahms St, Roslindale, Ma, 02131

I believe this vehicle is abandoned/used for storage on the street and is parked on the side walk. Several home owners have complained about this vehicle. Now it is parked at another residence on the street, BLOCKING THE ACTUAL HOMEOWNER FROM PARKING. This vehicle usually sits for weeks/months at a time, and on the rare occasions when it moves, the person uses A SPACE SAVER; this is very ironic as this person (who rents a room) complains of property owners protecting their space (attaching two photos of space savers this person has placed in front other people’s homes). I do not believe this illegally stowed vehicle (parked on the sidewalk) is registered in Boston but has been on our street for a year. I was unable to capture the RODENTS I saw coming out of it. THIS VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY (Submitted 3/31, 4/1/26) WHITE TOYOTA
