Please add commuting bike lanes in that run parallel to commuter rail and the highways - all forms of transportation deserve access to commuting. The esplanade path is too windy and time consuming. We want more direct routes that travel the same path as highways and train tracks. Scenic routes are nice but they don’t get you to work efficiently.

Why didn't the city communicate results of the transportation survey asking resident opinions on the Blue Hill Avenue project and bike lanes?!?!? I paid taxes for that, and it showed that most people support bike lanes overall and the Blue Hill Ave project, even in the surrounding neighborhood. The data shows less than half of people oppose these things and that it's strongest opponents are old white people! Some supporter of marginalized groups Michelle Wu is! Plus, people having a hard time traveling in Boston overwhelmingly want more reliability in transit, even older white people, yet you've stopped all bus priority work.

  • Broken Sidewalk

100 Cambridge St, Boston, Ma, 02114

April 7, 2026 If not for the work crew outside of 100 Cambridge Street, Boston, today, I may have been seriously injured. All my fault, by the way. When I exit Bowdoin each morning, I cross over the 2 sections of Cambridge Street. Yes, I know that there are crosswalks on either end of this section of the street at both Bowdoin and Somerset. It is simply quicker to cross right there. In the middle of the street, there is an “island” or small stretch that separates the two sections of Cambridge Street. This is NOT a sidewalk. There are what looks like old hoses (old sprinkler system?) in that island. They protrude out of the dirt, and they are a huge trip hazard. After years of crossing in that way, it finally happened. I tripped on a hose. I stumbled, screamed, and furiously scanned my eyes to the right to look at oncoming traffic that surely would have either hurt or killed me. There they were. The work crew. They were blocking the oncoming traffic (either 1 or 2 lanes of it). Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, work crew. Thank you City of Boston for having the work crew there. I write, respectfully, to ask that the antiquated hoses be removed. For the first time ever, I will use the “senior” card. I am rapidly getting toward my senior years, and I am currently 61 years old. I will be working for years to come, and it is unlikely that I will start to cross at the crosswalks now. I would love some feedback. Thank you, Lori Swanson / 95 Basswood Ave. / Saugus, MA 01906 / 781-929-9467 Lifelong lover of all things BOSTON besides these trip hazards.

Several requests have been made with the North End rehabilitation center regarding the flood light in the picture. This light beams directly into my bedroom As recently as THIS afternoon I was assured steps had been made to fix the constant shine into my residence. This has been a problem (resolved 1 time a year ago) for many years. There are stipulations in place in the state of MA to reduce light nuisance issues. I don’t know what else to do. | Case (SR) Type: [ONS Coordinator Issues] Referred To: [ONS: N. END/WATERFRONT/W. END]
