STOP CUTTING DOWN TREES ON KILSYTH ROAD OH MY GOD WHY ARE YOU DISRUPTING THE CANOPY ? I beg of you do not cut down any more trees ! they were not disrupting powerlines or sidewalks ! also replant them the city keeps cutting trees down MATURE trees on this street and makes zero effort to even replant new ones which are just gonna get scorched by heatwaves this summer anyway .
CLOSED #101005492585Noted. The Ash trees in question had a greater then 50% dead canopy and were heavily infested with Emerald Ash Borer which posed a significant risk to nearby Ash trees as well as the likelihood of the tree or its limbs breaking off into the roadway. The BPRD inspects every site where we remove a tree for replanting. If you have any questions please call 617-635-TREE (8733).

New Tree Requests
Revere Street between Storrow Drive and Charles Street: When we first moved into our home at 117 Revere Street over 30 years ago, the street had at least five trees within this one block. Over the years as trees were cut down, several were not replaced and the sidewalk was bricked over. Although one tree was just planted this morning (June 3), at least two others have never been replaced. We urge the City to plant these missing trees! N.B. It is impossible to indicate the block on the map, hence "141 Revere Street" is not accurate, but it is the only way to mark the map; and we do not "own" the street!
CLOSED #101005489639Noted. In order for the bprd to open up a new tree pit we require a sidewalk to be 6ft wide. Existing tree pits we are able to reuse. Unfortunately this sidewalk is 5.5ft wide and we will not be cutting a new tree pit.
