    Hello. I hit two not one potholes in a row on Rutherford Ave in Boston , under the overpass near Bunkerhill Community College. This happened last night, March 5, 2025 at about a little after ten p.m. My front tire blew out and luckily a state trooper was right there with another car that had hit the same pot holes and pulled over waiting for a tow. The state trooper had told me that the State Police has been contacting the City of Boston for days regarding those pot holes. I am writing to report these pot holes, which I know have been reporting already by the Mass State Police themselves and I am sure from others who have hit both consecutive pot holes. They are very dangerous since it is a busy road and basically under an over pass. There is no way I could go back this morning and take a picture of the two potholes due to my safety of where the two potholes exist.     Someone hit my car on E Second St close to the intersection of M Street between 5pm Monday night and 6:25am Tuesday morning. If anyone saw anything or has any cameras it would be extremely helpful! I have a grey VW Tiguan SUV and was parked directly across from 736 E Second St. thank you!

    Case Number: BCS-00169499 was closed without action by the city on 3/2/2026 9:00:21 AM. I removed fallen tree branches from the sidewalk so people could pass and put the debris in my truck. I am traveling out of state tomorrow and cannot safely travel with the debris in the truck. I called 311 again who referred me to Urban Forest and Trees. They did not return my call. If no one comes by to remove the debris from my truck, I will have to put the debris back on the sidewalk tonight.

    Noted. The tree debris in question was from a tree rooted on private property. The city of Boston does not remove private tree debris or maintain private trees. As stated in the previously closed case and as seen in the case closing photos, the debris was from a private tree and is the property owners responsibility to remove and dispose of the debris. If the debris is placed onto the sidewalk or roadway PWD Code Enforcement will ticket and fine you for placing the debris into the sidewalk and roadway.
