Adding Detail to Code Enforcement Officer Harassing Residents: MA tag: MB1182. At 4:30pm on Wednesday, Nov 26th, I was walking my dog on Myrtle street when I heard loud police-sounding beeps/barks. This is when I first saw the enforcement officer in her car beeping for someone to come out to move their car, double parked illegally. I first smiled and thought it was nice of her to give them a chance to move before ticketing. I thought it must be the start of the holiday spirit. After going into the new BH Market on Myrtle for 5 mins, I came out to witness the first of four altercations with various residents along Myrtle St, some who were illegally double-parked, others who weren’t. She continued to honk the loud and disruptive horn at double parked cars loading with the doors open, and many people were coming out of their houses to see what was going on. At that point. I decided to get a photo of her and her car tag. She didn’t like that. I asked her to stop harassing residents (not the ticket part, that is her job, but her angry yelling and swearing and very disruptive honking…it takes a lot of noise to get people out of their houses…it’s loud here at that time). She looked at me surprised and yelled that she was just doing her job. She then went on to say mind my own f’ing business and continued her tirade with someone else. She tried to take a lot of joy out of a warm, happy Thanksgiving eve for many people tonight. I hope others have some better video of her swearing at me and others and submit them. Reckless driver. Driver attempted to rear end our car when they pulled out of street to make a turn in a lane that we were driving in. They proceeded to lay on their horn and scream profanities at our car for 2 blocks on Dudley street.
