Large elm leader down in public garden

Const. States there is brown stuff coming out of tree in front of service location that is blowing onto the roof and stairs of property resulting in the stairs looking brown instead of black, birds pooping on roof as well as the constituents vehicle so the constituent has been parking across the street rather than their driveway. Constituent also states this has been an ongoing issue for years, they purchased a blower to help as well as called before several times regarding the tree. The trees lining Greenwich Park in the South End are dropping sap on the cars and sidewalks. The sap sticks to your shoes and is hard to wash off of the cars. Is this normal? Or are the trees distressed? | Is this a City owned tree situated on the sidewalk: [Yes]

Butt log removal. Tree is technically within the public ROW. There is just no sidewalk.

Foremost I appreciate and grateful for your action about my initial request to address the issue about the public sidewalk tree infront of my address at 77 Danny Road 02136. The uploaded pictures attached will show you how it looks now. I also uploaded “the before” picture of the tree before the pruning was performed. Huge improvement. Thank you. The limb of the tree overhanging the street is a little concerning though because of the branches growing on the top end that may become very heavy overtime. I am not a tree expert so I am again throwing you the burden of deciding if it warrants a little more trim/cut. I am just concern for undesirable eventualities . Another issue I want to bring up is the damage the roots of the this tree has inflicted to the sidewalk. I was approached by an elderly neighbor today and asked if I included the damage sidewalk in the filing of my request. I am doing it now. Again I am very grateful to the City of Boston.
