**Originally submitted as BCS-00224719** Municipal lot #20 at 191 Adams Street Dorchester 02122 1. Lights on the iron fence are not working and 2. a tree has grown into the fence and needs to be either cut back greatly or removed (it's branches have also grown into one of the lamps and knocked it out). There is an iron fence and entry gate to the lot that contain 3 Acorn lamps - two at the entry gate and one at the pedestrian entrance to the lot between 191 and 195 Adams. The two lamps on either side of the entry gate have not worked for a few months. The lamp over the pedestrian entrance worked until the storm last week when the tree's branches kept hitting it and finally knocked it out - the glass does not look broken but the light went out. There is a tree next to the pedestrian entrance that has large branches that have grown into and between the iron fence and tall branches that have grown into the lamp. Wind makes the branches hit the glass lamp. This tree is too close to the fence and the sidewalk and is ruining both. It really needs to be removed now before it gets any larger. It is not needed anyway - there are plenty of bigger trees next to it that do not interfere with the iron fencing. Please get the lights working again. I have lived in the apartment building next to the lot at 195 Adams for 10 years. My windows over look the parking lot. We had terrible problems in the past with crime and drug deals taking place in the lot and lots of homeless people hanging out under our windows at all hours and all night long. When the lights are working these things do not happen. I am disabled and recently had major cancer surgery so I am always home and I sit and look out my windows all the time. For the past three nights I have seen drug deals happening in the lot around midnight-3am. Now that the weather is nice the homeless are returning around Fields Corner and unless the lights get fixed they will probably be back in the lot as well. Photos are attached. Thank you! Constituent states the system that is being used to clean this lot is not adequate. The worker that comes to clean just uses a leaf blower and blows debris into the curb of parking spaces. Where the concrete meets the asphalt. There is a strong smell of sewage. Asking to please get this lot cleaned correctly. Constituent states in this lot there are some EV charging station spots but the signs for these spaces are contradciting. There are two signs stacked on top one another. One with arrow pointing to the left stating EV charging only and then another directly above it with arrow to the right saying 2 hour limit. With these signs directly on top of eachother it seems the spot the pole is placed can go either way.
