Hello, My name is Higor Machado, and I live in 23 Colwell Ave #2 in Brighton. The trash collectors sometimes pick up the trash bins, but other weeks they do not. Today, I was finally able to ask one of the workers about the problem, and he explained that the bins are damaged and difficult for the truck mechanism to grab properly. He recommended that we request new bins from the City of Boston. The recycling from this week is still inside the bin because it was not collected. Could you please let me know if the replacement bins are free of charge and how we can request them? We are new residents at this address and have been working hard to improve and take care of the property, since it had not been very well maintained in the past. Before we moved in, there were several complaints about the condition of the house, but now we have actually been receiving compliments from neighbors about the improvements. Construction lift still blocking/impeding sidewalk access. Especially for individuals with disabilities. Along side of 211 Congress st, Matthew st. Between Congress and Federal st on Matthew st. This is ridiculous, ongoing issue. Clearly CEP ticketing them isn't working. City should remove lifts as it's a pedestrian safety issue.
