    I work in the city near Ruggles Station and have to walk on a side walk that is also a bike lane (a shared space the standard width of a sidewalk for a short stretch). So, as bikers come from the Southwest Corridor up to Columbus Ave, they are biking on the sidewalk with the pedestrians. It is always a bit dicey in this space with regular bikers who are mostly courteous, but today I also passed closely by several motorized cyclists who were moving at a fairly high rate of speed. It felt dangerous. I am curious what the speed limit is on a bike lane that is shared with a sidewalk/pedestrians? And if it is posted? It honestly felt as if I was walking in the middle of the motorized traffic. Thank you for your attention.

    Case Resolved. Bicycles in Boston must adhere to the 25 MPH speed limit placed upon automobiles. This stretch of bike lane is managed by Northeastern University.
