Intersection Of Seaport Blvd And Sleeper St, Boston, Ma

May I please propose that the westbound bike lane on Seaport Blvd be changed back to a car lane with right turn only onto Atlantic blvd? The eastbound bike lane is wide enough for two way bike lanes. The daily gridlock is exhausting at Seaport Blvd and Sleeper Street, and it stems from the gridlocked intersection at Atlantic. Please, can you pass this request to the traffic flow committee? Thank you.

Case Noted. Thank you for reaching out to us. Our ultimate goal is to make the streets of Boston as safe and efficient as possible for all types of residents, including those who drive, ride, and walk to their destinations. As bicycling becomes more popular among Boston residents, public space will need to be reallocated to ensure the safety of bicyclists and those that travel alongside them. As it stands, a significant percentage of Bostonians use bicycles to traverse the city, and that percentage is growing by the day. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make the streets of Boston open to this demographic. We appreciate your feedback and will consider it as we move forward.

  • Pothole

2420 Beacon St, Brighton, Ma, 02135

You are doing the Beacon Street work plan badly. The bikes and pedestrians need protections but all you will do is paint. Jamaica Plain got their speed bumps and humps but those are too expensive for Brighton citizens I guess. Put in raised crossers and defended bike lanes.

    CLOSED #101006647062

Case Noted. We share your concerns about making the City’s streets safer. Everyone should have a safe street where they feel comfortable and free from concerns of speeding cars. We are working to bring speed humps to our neighborhood streets, and it will take time to get this work done. Our program is being updated to better match the needs of the community. Reaching out to your neighborhood's ONS liaison is a great way to make your feedback heard as part of this process. We will continue to work to slow traffic and offer safety interventions across the City of Boston. We appreciate you sharing your feedback on your street and will include it as we continue strengthening our program.

Bike lane barriers still haven’t been replaced since the city’s snow plows destroyed them over the winter. It’s almost as if the city wants cyclists to die
