  • Pothole

2420 Beacon St, Brighton, Ma, 02135

You are doing the Beacon Street work plan badly. The bikes and pedestrians need protections but all you will do is paint. Jamaica Plain got their speed bumps and humps but those are too expensive for Brighton citizens I guess. Put in raised crossers and defended bike lanes.

Case Noted. We share your concerns about making the City’s streets safer. Everyone should have a safe street where they feel comfortable and free from concerns of speeding cars. We are working to bring speed humps to our neighborhood streets, and it will take time to get this work done. Our program is being updated to better match the needs of the community. Reaching out to your neighborhood's ONS liaison is a great way to make your feedback heard as part of this process. We will continue to work to slow traffic and offer safety interventions across the City of Boston. We appreciate you sharing your feedback on your street and will include it as we continue strengthening our program.

Bike lane barriers still haven’t been replaced since the city’s snow plows destroyed them over the winter. It’s almost as if the city wants cyclists to die

    CLOSED #101006646862

    Duplicate of Existing Case.

  • Pothole

Intersection Of Cambridge St And Lincoln St, Allston, Ma

Build up of sand and gravel in the bicycle lane on Cambridge st Allston at the Lincoln st intersection. This is dangerous. I was thrown off my bike in March and injured. This repeatedly builds up and needs to be cleared regularly for safety. Thank you.

    CLOSED #101006646826

Resolved. No code enforcement violation found at this time.

Another day, another truck parked in the bike lane. Please install the barriers again, this happens every day, throughout the day, causing major risk to cyclists

Case Resolved. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this matter. The City of Boston is currently working to replace and restore bike lane protection infrastructure throughout the city via a multitude of programs. • Pothole

Intersection Of Highgate St And Cambridge St, Brighton, Ma

There is a strip of what’s left of some bike lane divider/markers just past the Jersey barriers at the I-90 footbridge on Cambridge street in Allston as you’re headed into Allston from Cambridge. All of the vertical parts are missing which leaves the base in the middle of travel lanes and because of the new traffic pattern for construction, it is difficult to see and in an unexpected place. It looks like you can safely and legally merge over to the right lane once you pass the end of the Jersey barrier approaching the intersection of Cambridge and Harvard. These either need to be repaired/marked clearly so they are visible day and night or removed otherwise people who reasonably believe they can merge over are going to suffer damage to their tires and/or vehicles. Thanks!

    Noted. Duplicate.

  • Fallen Tree or Branches

144-180 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215

A large broken/dangling tree branch is hanging low into or immediately over the bike lane on Boylston Street in the Kenmore area, near the Star Market block. The branch is difficult for cyclists to see and creates a collision hazard, especially for riders using the bike lane. Photos taken May 16, 2026 around 4:26 PM show the branch extending into the travel/bike-lane area. Please inspect and remove or secure the branch as soon as possible.

180 Ruggles St, Mission Hill, Ma, 02120

This should've been fully constructed like the contraflow lane across the street. You could at least put in some separation here. There is ample available on street parking in the neighborhood less than a block away plus a parking lot right on this block, yet I am reliably unable to use the bike lane. People park overnight in this. Put in separation now!

Every. Single. Day. People are constantly blocking the bike lane. There are plenty of people who are not physically able to lift their Bluebike onto the sidewalk, and they end up trapped in the bike lane because you removed the separation. What is the city's problem?? This is a basic city service.

    CLOSED #101006645711

    Duplicate of Existing Case.

You removed separation and now people constantly park in the bike lane. This especially is not a safe road to merge into traffic on. Do not set this to resolved if you haven't put separation in the buffer.

    CLOSED #101006645709

    Duplicate of Existing Case.
