    Where can I find real time data on level of access to bike lanes around Boston. I’ve been hesitant to travel by bike for weeks now because a lot of the lanes I use are full of snow, ice, debris and the infrastructure is broken or non existent. When it’s dark and roads are wet and the only infrastructure is green paint - I can’t even see that and drivers can’t either. Can you issue updates on Instagram when certain bike lanes are back open and fully functional?

The city does not have the resources to surveil every bike lane in Boston simultaneously to determine the presence of snow. That being said, we are working diligently to keep bike lanes free of snow following the recent snow emergencies, and to install new protective infrastructure to protect bicyclists who use them.
