  • Damaged Sign

Intersection Of Billings St And Spring St, West Roxbury, Ma

This is a recurring intersection obstruction issue at the intersection of Billings St and Spring St in West Roxbury. Vehicles frequently queue into and stop within the intersection despite posted “Do Not Block Intersection” signage, resulting in gridlock conditions and restricted turning movements. Specifically, left turns from Billings St onto Spring St are regularly blocked due to vehicles occupying the intersection box. This creates unsafe conditions and reduces intersection efficiency and visibility. Existing pavement markings appear incomplete, with box markings applied in only one direction. Request: • Evaluate intersection operations and compliance • Install “Do Not Block Intersection” signage on all approaches • Extend/refresh box junction pavement markings across all lanes and directions • Consider targeted enforcement during peak hours
