Address: 157 Gold Street. We have been managing this property for over 6 years now and the owners have poured in thousands of dollars on pest control. They had rats in the basement (which is fixed), they had to replace trash barrels due to rat holes (replaced) and rat feces on their front steps (cleaned). We have engaged a pest control company (Secured Environments) to keep an regular rat/mouse treatment at the property to combat the rat population. With that being said, we strongly believe the issues with rats at our property are due to 209 D Street condo association. They have all their barrels lined up against our white PVC yard fence, which back up against their lot/driveway. They are constantly overflowing, lids open, etc. See attached photo from last night. My cleaners said a rat ran out of one of their barrels when she was trying to close the lid. Its been a problem for a long time and we need some enforcement from the City. The owners of 157 can't be the only property trying to combat this issue, it takes all neighboring properties to help reduce this growing problem throughout our city. Thanks, Leland. The Hyde park municipal parking lot charge point chargers have been out of power for over 3 weeks now. I know everesource was doing work on the electrical boxes at the same time and since the charging stations haven’t been working and people can’t charge their cars and have to go out of the way and charge it somewhere else. Can we get this fixed ASAP. please and thank you. I did get in contact with charge point but since the city is charge of these chargers they can’t do anything.

Trash pickup left empty barrels in the street, this happens MOST of the time. Please inform them empty barrels should be placed back where they were on the curb not in the strett

Repeated rodent sighting at 111-125 Park drive. Multiple large rats just running on the sidewalk

My wife and some neighbors did a trash pick up on the wooded hillside between Calumet and Hillside Streets. This is a nice green area which allows those on Hillside and Calumet to see some green trees, birds and turkeys. Unfortunately, some renters see this only as a dumping ground - particularly the tenants who live at 198/200 Calumet. It is a party house for the student who party hard and often. All through the cold they had big blue tarps around the back of the house, complete with heat lamps, big sound system, and lights, which you can see in one of the photos. We were all young once and did our share of partying, but not to the detriment of the neighborhood. For the most part they shut it down around 11 PM, but the mess they leave is inexcusable. During the cleanup, my son went up while they were outside and politely asked them to pick up their trash which he pointed out. Their response "sure man, no problem" resulted in nothing but words... There are lots of parties up on Calumet which neighbors call about, but until landlords jump in and take some action, our complaints will continue. The police have come from time to time and have broken up the parties, but they continue.
